Tennis in the cold
Played a tennis match in Beckenham today. It went fairly well even though we lost a close match, we won our other one quite easily so our team won. When we played the same team in the summer we lost by one game. It was nice being out in the sunshine even though it was quite cold. The only problem about playing in the winter is the sun. It it so though that all of us missed at least one shot being blinded by the sun.
Ive been busy wrapping presents for the advent swap on UKS. I can't wait to receive my box of pressies. Having a little present to unwrap every day leading up to Christmas will really help in the cold dark days. It is going to be quite a busy 4 weeks of school with a Christmas fayre, Christmas production and Christmas parties. And of course the kids will get a big bout of end-of-term-itis.
The cats are doing very well. Tom is curled up near my feet and Jerry is fast asleep upstairs. Jerry is enjoying venturing out into the big bad outside world and disappears for about an hour every morning at 6. I've never know a cat to be so vocal. We don't need an alarm clock as she lets us know when its time to go out. Tom, on the other hand seems to have turned into an indoor cat. He seldom ventures further than the garden but does enjoy sitting on the fence looking out. I think the fight he got into with a dog three weeks ago has scared him a bit. I'll try to post a few piccies soon.
